Richard Meitner - Solo Exhibition
The exhibition shows the evolution of the work of Richard Meitner from the seventies until now.
After graduating of the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in the 1970's, Meitner started to produce small vases and flasks. In the 1980's, his works becomes larger and he uses the container as the base of his work. The forms are becoming free and he adds structures of different materials to the container.
By using different enamels, he experiments with color in his work.
In the 1990's, he starts to use the walls to attach his work as a painting, stating that glass is a material to create art.
This exhibition shows work from the 1970's until 2020, ranging from small bottles to wall pieces and the evolution of his work in between.
The exhibition runs from 01/10/2020 until 01/06/2021 and is open by appointment.
