Animals are a source of inspiration for many artists. They constitute the basis of this group exhibition, that shows works in glass.
Xandra Bremers’ s work is inspired by the transiency of life. Her animals show the decay that takes place ones a creature dies and dissipates in nature.
Simsa Cho works around the theme of shoes, that are transformed into animals. They constitute the base on which a shoe is constructed. A cat, a peacock, a snake and a mole were used to create the pieces.
Geraldine Duriaux is an artist, who works in the great tradition of the French animaliers and creates detailed representations and stylizations of animals.
Anne-Lise Riond-Sibony is inspired by religion and mythology. Her fishes represent a Christian theme or the story of Oedipus, while they can stand alone as animals themselves.
The exhibition runs from 26/01/2019 until 28/04/2019 and can be visited by appointment.
